Kemedress grew from a family background in dressmaking and a love for beautiful, carefully made gowns. Today, we bring that experience to customers looking for dresses for weddings, proms and other unforgettable occasions.

OUR STORY

A Family Tradition Behind Kemedress

Kemedress began with a family tradition of making dresses. My grandmother, Kefang, worked as a “Xiuniang” in Suzhou, a skilled craftsperson known for embroidery and detailed traditional garment work.

My mother began learning from her when she was only 13 years old and has now spent more than 42 years making dresses. Her experience includes traditional Chinese bridalwear, XiuHe suits and cheongsam, as well as Western style wedding gowns.

Today, my sister Eva and I continue that family business through Kemedress, bringing our experience and appreciation for dressmaking to customers around the world.
