$100 Wedding Dress Review: Did This Tea-Length Lace Gown Actually Work?
14th Jul 2026
I never thought I’d be that bride who buys her dress online two weeks before the wedding. But life had other plans. We’d been engaged forever—like, years—and then suddenly we picked a date and had exactly 14 days to pull everything together. Cue the panic.

I knew I wanted something vintage-inspired, with an A-line shape and a sweetheart neckline. Nothing too fussy. After way too many late-night scrolling sessions, I landed on this tea-length lace number and just… stopped. It felt right.

The reviews were mostly positive, so I took a chance. I’m normally a size 22, and a few commenters mentioned these run small, so I ordered a 26W. Honestly, it was a gamble—but it fit like it was made for me. The lace is delicate, the illusion neckline is pretty without being over-the-top, and there’s this little keyhole detail in the back that I didn’t even notice in the product photos.

The corset lacing lets you adjust, and the tulle skirt is light and bouncy—perfect for a small chapel or courthouse thing.

For under $100, I was bracing for cheap fabric or weird stitching. But nope—it actually feels way more expensive than it was.

That said, it wasn’t 100% perfect out of the bag. I did have to make a few small fixes:

-
The tiny button at the back neckline was loose, so I reinforced it.
-
There’s a modesty panel under the laces—I added a hook-and-eye to keep it from shifting around.
-
And the ribbon they gave for the lace-up back was too short (lots of reviewers warned about this, so I had a longer one ready).
All took maybe 20 minutes total. No big deal.

On the day, I got so many compliments—and honestly, the best part was being able to move. No train to trip over, no bustle to mess with. I danced, I walked around, I actually enjoyed myself. And the photos turned out great—the shorter hem really shows off the shape.

If you're a plus-size bride, or you're cutting it close on time, or you just don't want to blow your budget on a dress you'll wear once—this one is worth a look. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but for me, it proved that you don't need to drop thousands to feel beautiful on your wedding day.
