Q1Is the back bow detachable?
The bow is sewn into the gown's back waist as a permanent signature feature — it is the element the gown is named for. On custom orders, we can adjust the bow's size or create a removable version if you prefer the option of a cleaner back line for the reception. Simply note your preference when submitting measurements.
Q2Are the off-the-shoulder sleeves detachable?
Yes — the delicate draped tulle drop sleeves are fully detachable. This gives you two looks in one gown: wear the sleeves for a romantic, vintage-inspired ceremony, then remove them for a cleaner, more modern off-the-shoulder look at the reception. They attach discreetly and leave no visible hardware.
Q3Does this dress require a petticoat or crinoline?
Yes. The gown's massive, structured dome silhouette is designed to be supported by a full crinoline or multi-layer organza petticoat. A 6-hoop crinoline will give you the fullest, most dramatic princess shape. Without one, the skirt falls softer and more A-line — still elegant, but not the gown's intended ball-gown volume.
Q4Can I order this in my custom measurements?
Absolutely — custom sizing is free on every order. Send us your bust, waist, hips, and hollow-to-hem measurements at checkout or via message, and we will cut the gown to your exact proportions. The lace-up corset back adds an additional 2–3 inches of adjustability, and the visible boning ensures the bodice maintains its structured, cinched shape.
Q5How long does production take, and is rush ordering available?
Standard production runs approximately 3–4 weeks plus shipping, as each gown is handmade with intricate iridescent beadwork, sequins, and lace appliques. If your event date is sooner, we offer expedited rush production at an additional fee. Please message us with your date before placing your order so we can confirm the earliest possible delivery.
Q6Does the dress have built-in bra support?
Yes. The structured corset bodice includes a built-in bra with internal support panels and visible vertical boning, so most wearers can forgo a separate bra entirely. This is especially important given the off-the-shoulder neckline and detachable sleeves — visible bra straps would disrupt the clean, elegant shoulder line.
Q7Can the train length or cape overlay be modified?
Yes. On custom-size orders, the cathedral train can be shortened to chapel or sweep length, or removed entirely for easier movement. The sheer tulle cape overlay can also be removed if you prefer a cleaner back profile that focuses solely on the bow. These modifications are included at no extra cost on custom orders — simply note your preferences when submitting measurements.
Q8How do I clean and protect the iridescent beadwork and crystals?
The iridescent beads, crystals, and sequins are delicate and should be professionally dry cleaned only — never machine wash, hand-wash, or spot-clean with water, as moisture and agitation can loosen the beadwork and dull the iridescent finish. Store the gown on a padded hanger in a breathable garment bag, away from direct sunlight. When walking, use the built-in train loop to lift the cathedral train and prevent snagging on the floral appliques at the hem.
